Saratoga: Wine and Dine the Big Basin Way
The wine trail to three prominent hillside wineries climbs Big Basin Way (also called Highway 9) through Saratoga Village. The path leading to The Mountain Winery, a top Bay Area music and wine tasting venue, also climbs Big Basin Way through Saratoga Village. The Silicon Valley fine-food trail leads to a culinary pot of gold on Big Basin Way, where more than twenty restaurants offer all styles of dining in a four block stretch.
Saratoga Village’s enduring reputation as a leading dining destination lives on. Nationally-rated restaurants delight locals and visitors from around the world. Diners find Thai, Mexican, Japanese, and Italian and continental fare, often served al fresco alongside Big Basin Way.
Visitors marvel at the serenity, beauty, and charming quaintness that thrives just ten minutes from Silicon Valley. Historic buildings house locally-owned and operated boutiques, coffee houses, spas, delicatessens, a chocolatier, antique dealers, micro brewery and many other specialty shops.
Vineyards dot the hillsides just a few minutes drive above the Village. Two hillside wineries host vineyard tasting rooms and another entertains visitors at the head of town. Village restaurants offer deep wine cellars and host Winemaker Dinners to create a perfect harmony between food and grape.
