Natural Creations

As you walk the streets of Los Gatos, you will come to gateway entrance to a magical little garden shop named Natural Creations. You'll enter a long alley filled with lush plants and falling water from fountains tucked here and there in the secret garden.  You'll soon leave the street noise and bustle behind as you wander deeper into the garden.

This shop specializes in fountains, topiaries, custom garden art, plants and European baskets, exotic plants, orchids, and ferns of all kinds. People come from all over the world to stroll this lovely serene garden store. Time and again regular travelers stop by Natural Creations to say hi and see what's new.

Hanging Baskets

Hanging ivy-covered mossed baskets are created on site, in all sizes. Many sizes are in stock, and all sizes can be made to order. Sharon (the owner, see below) offers hands-on topiary classes, where participants learn to pack moss in a wire frame and  hand pin ivy to it, allowing the ivy to grow and live rooted in the moss for many years.

Sharon Delacy is the owner and on most days the chief gardener. She is a lifelong gardener who took a topiary class at the shop 14 years ago. Unable to get the charming little alley out of her mind, she managed to purchase the 35-year-old business for herself.

Fountains

Sharon has been adding to the fountain selection for 13 years. The sounds and styles of the many working fountains give customers an immediate impression of the soothing ambiance they would hear from a fountain in their own garden.

The sound of water falling is created in many ways. Some fountains contain small cooper tubes that pour narrow jets of water into a pool below, creating a distinctive sound of high energy. For bird lovers, there's a pebble-filled fountain with a cooper tube gently bubbling water at the center and carved birds watching the action at water's edge. A large triple-basin fountain delivers the sound of a running brook.  

Fountains are available from a number of fountain manufacturers and catalogs are available for customers to peruse the options and make their selection. Special orders are ususally received within weeks. Color samples are available to help select the shade most attractive for a customer's garden.

All fountains are self contained using minimum electrical energy. The recirculating pump uses 5 - 6 watts. Use a nearby hose or watering can to top off your fountain.
